Benson James “Ted” Bryant

Healdton- Graveside services for Mr. Benson James “Ted” Bryant, 71 of Healdton are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Mt Olive Cemetery in Healdton with Rev. Jamie Griffin officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Benson James Bryant was born on November 23, 1943 at Hobart, OK to the late Benson Bryant and Mrs. Lucille Edna (Coffia) Bryant. He departed this life Sunday morning September 6, 2015 at Fox.

Ted was raised at Hobart, OK, graduating high school there. He married the former Ms. Lynn Knollhoff on April 13, 1981 at Gainesville, TX. Together they have been residents of Healdton since 1981, living north of town. Ted worked for Brady’s for a few years as a truck driver and was currently working for C & J Services out of Fox. Ted was a member of the Milo Baptist Church.

He loved to put puzzles together, reading westerns, and absolutely loved the trip he made to Alaska in 2007.

Preceding him in death were parents, Benson Bryant and Lucille (Coffia) Bryant.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Bryant of the home; two sons, Brian Terry Shaw and wife Shannon of Dana Pt. CA, Von Porter and wife Sara of Pensacola, FL; sister, Sharon Burton and husband Billy of Gotebo, OK; brother, Cary T. Bryant and wife Barbara of Hobart, OK; grandchildren, Tiffany Shaw, Tyler and Taylor Porter; Lachelle, Janell, Misty, and James; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Family visitation will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6pm to 7 pm at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
