Ben Franklin Marshall

Ringling - Graveside Services with full Military Honors for Mr. Ben Franklin Marshall, 89 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Dixie Cemetery with Jolene Mullikin officiating.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling. 

Ben made his last move on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from the Ardmore Veterans Center in Ardmore, OK. He was born in Ringling, OK to the late Hollie B. Marshall and Myrtle (Jones) Marshall on May 25, 1935.  He was raised in the Ringling area and went to school and graduated from Mountain Home. 

Ben entered the United States Army in 1958.  He served with meritorious service and was awarded many medals and commendations including the Bronze Star.  He served all over the world including Vietnam, Korea, Germany, and the United States.  After 21 1/2 years in the United States Army, he retired in 1979.  After retirement, he went to work in the oilfield.  During the slow times he took work in the various fields to support his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 32 years Vadie Marshall; his of wife of 8 years Dorothy Marshall; siblings, MC Marshall, Wanda Lee Kerley, Eugene Marshall, Dovie Reynolds, and Oran Marshall; He was the last of his siblings.  

Ben is survived by his daughters, Charla Stubbs of Ringling and Janie Kerley of Healdton; sons, Ernie Marshall and wife Janice of Ringling, Benjamin Marshall and wife Ardis of Richmond, TX, Billy Jones, Jr. of Hinesville, GA, and Mike Climer of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Nichole, Taylor Deann, Rachel, Taylor Dawn, Seth, C.J., Haley, Candis, Lindsay, Leah, Ethan, Gabrielle, Justin, and Stephen; 20 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; longtime friend and current companion, Ruth Ramsey; and by a host of other family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
