Bea was born Dec. 25, 1929 at Brock to the late Mr. Willie S. "Bill" Hamilton and Mrs. Marie Elizabeth (Jones) Hamilton. She was delivered into her heavenly home on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at a healthcare facility in Ardmore.
Bea was raised primarily within the Lone Grove area and graduated high school at Russett. She married the late Mr. William Edward "Bill" VanBuskirk on Nov. 24, 1948 at Ardmore. To this union they shared 3 wonderful blessings whom they named, Cheryl, Lyndal and Helen.
They resided in Lone Grove, Walters and Wilson raising their children within a Godly home. Bea worked outside the home as a seamstress at the Jo-Kay Leather company of Ardmore for several years and also at Overland Construction as a secretary. She was blessed with her first grandchild in 1974 named Missy. At that time she was awarded her crown title "Nanny" which she held proudly for the rest of her life.
Bea adored all of her grandchildren and was honored of all their accomplishments but was most pleased of their acceptance of Jesus Christ. She was a devout Christian from an early age and read her bible daily for hours until her passing. She began her lifelong love for the Lord at the Lone Grove Assembly of God Church and proudly served in every capacity within the congregation however she was needed. She taught Sunday School for 50 years and loved Gospel music. Most recently she was a member of the Marietta Assembly of God Church.
Bill preceded her in death on March 31, 1976 and thereafter Bea resided mostly at Ardmore. She found another ministry working at Harvey Douglas Funeral Home of Ardmore as a receptionist in the evenings. Bea always searched for ways to share the Gospel within the community. Her daughter, Helen Baker and granddaughter, Missy LeAnn Glazier also preceded her in death. Bea was never the same without them.
