Barbara Louise Gannon

August 8, 1925 — March 3, 2016

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Louise (Hartsell) Kallay Gannon are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Tyler Shores officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson.

Barbara was born August 8, 1925 to the late Mr. George Edgar Hartsell and Mrs. Josephine (Todd) Hartsell, at Tonkawa, OK. She departed this life Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Muskogee, OK.

Barbara was raised in Wilson, OK attending Wilson High School and was a member of First Baptist Church. She soon joined the war effort after graduation as a nurse’s aid at Fort Hood, TX where she met her first husband, Alex Kallay. They were married in 1945, living in Wichita Falls, TX before moving to Tulsa in the early 1950’s. Barbara worked for Army Corp of Engineers and Social Security Administration for a total of 35 years before retiring in Tulsa in the late 1980’s. After her divorce from Alex Kallay in 1969, she later married the late Anthony P. Gannon in 1978. She remained in Tulsa until her demise. She was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa for over 40 years.

Preceding her in death was her parents; husband Anthony P. Gannon in 1998 and one brother Mr. G.E. Hartsell.

Survivors include son, Edward Kent Kallay; daughters, Melissa Lea Cypert and Alexia Jo Caster; grandchildren, Matthew Jordan Kallay, Maggie Elizabeth Kallay and Annie Beth Kallay, Nicole Elizabeth Marler, Jonathan Edward Cypert, Alexander Garrison Cypert, and Fletcher Reid Cypert; Paul David Caster II, Douglas Joseph Caster, Adam Matthew Caster, Peter Andrew Caster, Timothy Gabriel Caster and Rebecca Michelle Caster, great grandchildren, Sarah Melissa Myers, Benjamin Bryan Marler, Samantha Ann Marler, and Mia Angelina Cypert, Justin David Caster, Morgan Elizabeth Caster, Daniel Joseph Caster, Anna Karen Caster, Christina Darlene Caster, Noah Christopher Caster, McKenzie Lynn Caster, Madelynn Lee Caster, Mason Andrew Caster and Piper Jaylynne Caster and numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Edward Kent Kallay, Matthew Jordan Kallay, Alexander Garrison Cypert, Paul David Caster II, Douglas Joseph Caster and Adam Matthew Caster.


Honorary Bearers will be Peter Andrew Caster and Timothy Gabriel Caster

Family visitation will be held from noon prior to the service time on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the funeral home in Wilson.
