Barbara Jean Acox

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Jean (Morris) Acox, 71, of Kingston is scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Ringling with Rev. Jimmy Morris and Rev. Ronnie Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Barbara was born July 6, 1940 at Cornish, OK to the late Mr. Dana Joe Morris and Mrs. Elizabeth Louise (Stewart) Morris. She departed this life Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her home in Kingston, OK.

Barbara was raised in Ringling attending school there. She married the late Mr. Charles Chadwick Veal April 11, 1957 and to this union came three boys, Danny, David and Donald. She attended Beauty College at Norman and soon became a beautician and hairdresser for many years. She would later marry Mr. Charles Acox and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2002. Barbara loved to fish and she enjoyed her last years with her high school sweetheart, Ab Fowler, living on Lake Texoma. They enjoyed their time shared together eating out and being with there family.

Preceding her in death are her Parents, Son- David and Sister, Jana Fletcher.

Survivors include her Sons, Danny Veal and wife Gina of Healdton and Donald Veal and wife Melissa of Ada; Beloved friend and companion, Ab Fowler of the Home; Brother, Terry Dale Morris and wife Sheila of Ringling; Grandchildren, Danny, Chad and wife Tiffany, Paige, Elizabeth, Tanner, Trace, Braxton, Destiny, Stacy, Tracy, William, Stormi and Fiancée Bret, and Rowdy; Great Grandchildren, Harley, Mia, Payton, Lilly and Kenneth; Close Friends, Robert and Judy Houchin, Jerry Tammy and Ashley Riley. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers are Danny Veal II, Chadwick Keith Veal, Tanner Mac Veal, Trace Dakota Veal, Rowdy Don Max Veal, and Terry “Scooter” Morris, Jr.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
