Countyline - Funeral Services for Mrs. Audrey D. (Kidwell) Briscoe, 91, of Countyline, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. January 24, 2018 at the Countyline Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Alma Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander - Gray Velma Chapel.
Audrey was born on March 3, 1926 at Fredrick to the late Mr. James Henry Kidwell and Mrs. Gertrude (Hensley) Kidwell. She departed this life on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Chickasha Nursing Center.
Audrey was raised at Fredrick marrying Mr. Dewey Elton Briscoe on Dec. 7, 1941. At this time Dewey was enlisted into the U.S. Army and was soon called to War and Audrey resided at home until his discharge. They were blessed with nine children mostly residing on farm near Alma. They also moved frequently following Oilfield work but always considered this area their home.
Audrey was always very focused on her family and church. She was very involved at the Countyline Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and was always part of the food committee. Dewey preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2004. Also preceding her in death was her parents; daughter, Patsy Davis; sons, Johnny Ray and Bobby Dean Briscoe; sisters, Iva Lee Wiley and Annie Briscoe; brother, Jimmy Kidwell and two great granddaughters Megan and Melony Morse.
Survivors include her children, Connie Norton of Norman, Doug Briscoe and wife Lana of Ratliff City, Terri Lynn Fuller and husband Danny of Medicine Park, Suzi Sikes and husband Marty of Velma, Sandra Green and husband Cameron and Danny Briscoe and wife Rona, all of Countyline; nephew, Pete Wiley and wife Diane of Fredrick; 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
Casket bearers are Doug Jensen, Keith Briscoe, T.C. Green, Jarod Wright, Zachary Morse and Tommy Downey.
Honorary bearers are Gene Jensen, Tommy Briscoe and Ray Cox.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at Alexander ~ Gray Velma Chapel.
