Annie Pearl (Skinner) Bailey, a cherished soul born on January 27, 1935, in Oscar, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. Green Berry Skinner and Mrs. Nettie (Cox) Skinner, embarked on her eternal journey on October 30, 2024. Her life, filled with warmth and creativity, touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Annie was an exceptionally talented seamstress, known for her exquisite work crafting draperies and altering wedding dresses, as well as creating beautiful outfits for the porcelain dolls, she lovingly made. She also enjoyed quilting, which was handed down to her from her mother. Her hands were not only skilled but also imbued with a heartfelt love for animals. She doted on her beloved dogs and adored her special birds, including cockatoos, lovebirds, and finches, which filled her days with joy and companionship.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved infant daughter Denise Kay, and her nine siblings—Rubie Loraine, John Earl, TG, Eligie, Joe, Rube, Laura Ellen Skinner Cowley, Charlie, and Gilbert. Their loving memories will forever remain close to her family's hearts.
Annie is survived by her five sons: Russell and his wife Joyce from Ennis, TX; Larry and his wife Heidi from Gilmore, TX; Gary from Sherman, TX; Tim from Gunbarrel, TX; and Leslie and his wife Mendi from Athens, TX. She was blessed with five grandchildren—Jennifer Dilay, Steven Bailey, April Turner, David Bailey, and Kaleb Bailey—and numerous great-grandchildren who were a source of great pride and joy to her. She is also survived by her cousin Betty Jane (Skinner) Tindol of Fort Worth, TX, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
In honor of Annie's life, the family will hold an inurnment service at a later date at Terral Cemetery. As we remember Annie, we celebrate her kindness, creativity, and the enduring love she shared with all of us. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the lives she touched.
