Anna Maria Turner

Wilson: Memorial services for Anna Maria Turner, 64, will be 1:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Ash Street Church of Christ of Wilson. Larry Jackson is officiating.

Anna was born in Naples, Italy, she was raised in Vicenza, Italy, near Venice, Italy. She is the daughter of Gennardo and Maria (Magione) Candia. She passed away in Ardmore, Monday, May 16, 2011 at the age of 64 years, 4months and 9 days.

She was raised in Vicenza, Italy, near Venice, Italy started her hairstyling career at age 14. She moved to the U.S. in 1969, residing in Enid before moving to Galveston and then to Wilson in the early 80’s. Anna owned and operated several hairstylists and was very involved in different hair styling events worldwide. She was a stage performer for Lor’eal and Hennalucnet cosmetics company.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Gianni Franklin Turner.

She is survived by family and friends, Jolie K. O’dell, Kat Johson, Amy Scott, Josephine Johnson, Julene Howard, Kristen Johnson, Ron Doughty, Oreste Candia and Johnny Turner, and B Ward.

Honorary Bearers are Jolie K. Odell, Kat Johnson, Amy Scott, Josephine Johnson, Julene Howard, Kristen Johnson.

In Lieu flowers, her wish was to make donations in her name, to the Ardmore Childrens Shelter, 15 Monroe Street, NE, Ardmore, OK 73401
