Alpha Alice Morris

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Alpha Alice (Wade) Morris, 87, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling with Jimmy Morris and Lafon Glenn officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Alpha was born October 13, 1927 at Center Point to the late Mr. Charlie Wade and Mrs. Ara Alice (Hawkins) Wade. She departed this life Wed. September 30, 2015 at a nursing home facility in Waurika.

Alpha was 1 of 14 children being raised at Center Point. She and Mr. Billy D. Morris were united in marriage on June 16, 1945 at Clarence McGowan's house in Ringling. Alpha owned and operated Morris Dry Goods store in Ringling for 50 years. She was always very active in her church and was a very talented musician, being able to play various instruments and sing.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; brothers, Ozeal, Chesley, Melvin, Orb, L.V. and Otto; Sisters, Beatrice Wade, Thelma Pemberton and Beulah Hammons.

Survivors include her husband Billy of the home; daughter, Cathy Tomberlin and husband Tony; Sisters, Ella Morris, Drue Patrick and husband Don and Ollie Patrick and husband Junior; brother, Jake Wade and wife Toppy, all of Ringling; two Grandchildren, Amy Tolliver and husband Bobby of Ringling and Tony Dale Tomberlin and wife Mandy of Waurika; six great grandchildren, Bailey, Codi, Rayme, Dawson, Grayson and Kyson; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Clint Blakemore, Brock Gandy, Dewayne McCarty, Scott Skinner, Charlie Burks and Allen Wade.

Honorary bearers are all of Alpha's brothers and sisters in Christ of the Gospel Tabernacle.

Family visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm prior to the service on Saturday at Alexander Funeral Chapel of Ringling.
