Albert "A.C." Charles Overby

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Albert Charles "A.C." Overby, 81, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Ardmore. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson

A.C. was born on Feb. 14, 1936 at Wilson to the late Mr. George Henry Overby and Mrs. Carrie Gracie Lee (Wells) Overby. He departed this life on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at a healthcare facility in Ardmore.

A.C. was a native to this area residing at Dillard when he was young. He attended school at Wilson graduating high school as part of the Class of 1954. He married the former Ms. Alma Dean Cantrell at the Courthouse of Ardmore. During this time he was working at the Phillips 66 Service Station of Wilson. Later he worked in the oil field for Sutherlands Well Service of Healdton for 17 years. Thereafter he gained employment at Uniroyal/ Michelin where he retired from after 26 1/2 years of employment.

A.C. enjoyed his retirement residing at Wilson volunteering in many capacities such as helping with the Meals on Wheels Nutrition program. He always had something funny to say and had some very famous pecan pies . A.C. was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; infant sister; 3 brothers, Raymond, Kenneth and George "Doc" Overby; and sister, Dorsie Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife Alma Dean of the home; daughters, Tracy Ann Bollen of Ringling and Terry Baker and husband Benny of Hernando, FL; son, Trevor Overby and wife Melissia of Wilson; two sisters, Barbara Brown and Betty Sue Schaeffer, both of California; grandchildren, Brian, Lyndsey , Hope, Jade, Haley, Toby and Kody. 8 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Brian Scott Southerland, Toby Charles Overby, Kody Bryson Overby, Benny Baker, Tanner Hartman and Mark Idleman.

Honorary Bearers are Stan Harris, Larry Cumpton, Jim Cumpton and Kevin Johnson.

Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
