Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. A.J. Goode, 80, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 am Wed., Nov. 5, 2014 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Eric Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Simon Cemetery south of Wilson.

Mr. A.J. Goode was born July 24, 1934 at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Otis Goode and Mrs. Cordie Mattie (White) Goode. He departed this life Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at his home south of Wilson.

A.J. was a native to this area. He graduated school from Hobbs, NM and then shortly afterwards was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He served in Alaska for 2 years active duty and returned to this area after his discharge. He and the former Ms. Raddie Nadine Nipp were united in marriage on Nov. 26, 1958 at Gainesville, TX. They made their home in Wilson. A.J. worked as a union pipeline welder and also farmed and ranched. He attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Wilson where he also served as a Deacon.

Preceding him in death were his Son, James Goode, 1979 and his Parents, Mr. Otis and Mrs. Cordie (White) Goode.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Nadine Goode of the home; Sons, C.J. Goode and wife Suzanne, Duffy Goode, and Miles Goode and wife Jackie, all of Wilson; Brothers, James Goode and wife Geraldine of Midland, TX; 10 Grandchildren, James Goode, Brock Goode, Cullen Goode, Dustin Goode and wife Sarah, Cory Goode, Emilee Goode, Olivia Goode, Sahvanna Goode, Haden Goode and Isabella Goode; 1 Great Granddaughter, Brooklyn Goode; numerous nieces and nephews.

Casket Bearers Dustin Goode, Cory Goode, Haden Goode, James Goode, Brock Goode, Cullen Goode and David Hull.

Honorary Bearers are Clyde & Beth Nipp, Conver Nipp, Gene Nipp, Donnie & Jeannie Nipp, John & Ann Nipp and Curtiss & Brenda Nipp.

Family Visitation will be held 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
