Sheila Lynn Canales

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Sheila Lynn (Romines) Canales, 54, of Brushy Mound, is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Rubottom Baptist Church of Rubottom with Rev. Ronnie Carroll and Rev. Ryan Eakins officiating. Burial will follow at the Crow Cemetery near Orr. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Sheila was born January 15, 1959 at Arlington, TX to the late Mr. Jimmie Romines and Mrs. Wilma Jean (Patty) Romines. She departed this life Thursday morning, January 31, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Ardmore.

Sheila was raised mainly in Love County graduating from Turner High School in 1977. She married Mr. Marcus “Jr.” Canales on May 8, 1991 at Marietta. They made their home in Love County residing mostly at Brushy Mound. Sheila was a devoted housewife and was employed outside her home at the Cookie Factory, the Pants Factory and had done Home Health Nursing Care. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Basketball. She also enjoyed fishing, but most of all cherished the moments with her family.

Preceding her in death were her Parents, Mr. Jimmie and Wilma (Patty) Romines.

Survivors include her Husband, Marcus “Jr.” Canales of the home; Son, Jason Canales and Lisa Hacker of Hacker of Wilson; Brother, Roger Romines and his wife Evelyn of Shadydale; 5 Grandchildren, Colton Lyle, Alexis Romines, Elizabeth Smith, Autumn and Brody Canales; Special Cousins, Shannon and Shane Patty of Rubottom; Numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jason Canales, Marcus Canales, Roger Romines, Truman Patty, Shane Patty, and Forrest Gilcrease.

Honorary Bearers are Shannon Patty, Austin Patty, Guy Nolan Patty, Billy Don Hacker, and James Fisher.

Family visitation will from 4 to 6 pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Wilson.
