Milo - Funeral Services for Raymond "Ray" Thomas Gillaspy, 59 of Ratliff City are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday at Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow Saturday afternoon at Musgrove-Langley Cemetery in Vinita, OK. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
Ray was born April 28, 1964 in Pacolma, CA to the late Mr. Cecil Lawrence Gillaspy and Mrs. Deloris Jean Gillaspy. He departed from this life on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home.
Ray was raised in California until 1973 when he moved to Ratliff City. He graduated from Fox High School in 1982 and then Ray married the love of his life, Carla Henry on August 3, 1984 in Wilson. He had worked for Gaylon Hunt for 20 years as a pumper and for Oil Bank for 2 years where he was currently employed. Ray enjoyed shooting pigs and coyotes and riding around on the 4 wheelers. He and Carla mostly enjoyed hanging out with their best friends, Jeanna and Garlin and he loved being with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Cecil and Deloris; biological father, Rus and Millie Page; brother, Butch Gillaspy; grandparents Cora and Wayts Dobbins and George and Mary Gillaspy; mother in law, Betty Henry; brothers in law, Buzz, Bart, and Ricky Henry and sister in law, Linda Musgrove; and a nephew, Jason Musgrove.
Ray is survived by his wife, Carla; sister, Debbie Wilson; niece Tasha Cisneroz and husband Noel; sisters in law, Kim and Betty Michelle Henry; brothers in law, Terry and Randall Henry and Vernon Musgrove; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and by a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Garlin Earnhart, Cary Dale Tivis, Danny Martin, Odell Williams, Keith Morse, and Jim Hoggard. Honorary bearers will be all his nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
