Anita Juline (Barker) Rhodes

Anita Juline (Barker) Rhodes, of Oklahoma City, departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 15 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Interment will be in the Lone Grove Cemetery in Lone Grove. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Anita was born on July 9, 1941 in Ardmore to the late Mr. Robert "Bob" Barker and Mrs. Cleo (Bearden) Barker.

She was raised near Wilson in the Dillard area and attended Wilson schools. She graduated with the Wilson High School Class of 1959. In high school she was a Majorette. She and Mr. Arthur Bachman married in 1958 and began raising their family in Wilson. Anita then moved to Midland, TX, Trophy Club, Kingwood, TX, West Virginia, and Ardmore. Most recently Anita was living in Oklahoma City. Anita enjoyed crafting, sewing quilts, and in her younger years she enjoyed bowling. She loved to dance and would often go to the dance at Springdale on the weekends. Anita was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Dana Denton.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Shari Bachman-Everitt of Oklahoma City, and Reannon Byers and husband Josh of Oklahoma City; brother, Bobby Barker and his wife Judy of Piedmont,OK; 8 grandchildren; Many other relatives and a host of friends.
